Welcome to year 2/3’s class page. We hope you enjoy looking at all the fun things we have been learning.
Miss McCulloch and Miss Hayes
The body of Christ, or the people that are the whole of humanity, are a team. The body is not supported by one person, but by all of us. We are one, we are strongest working together in unity. Teamwork is the key to living life in harmony, so that we can do God's will. (1 Corinthians 12:14)
Every Friday, after lunch, we have collective worship. As a class we like to pray, reflect and listen to stories about Jesus. We participate in a variety of ways: praying, reading, singing and preparing a display to emphasise a specific focus of the Collective Worship.
In history we looked at sources of evidence about Emily Davison
In drama we have been looking at freeze frames.
In DT we recreated Stonehenge with biscuits
We have created some amazing posters about the 7 continents of the world. 🌏
“Worship the Lord with gladness; come before him with joyful songs” (Psalm 100:2)
In drama we have been acting out the story of Noah's Ark.
In year 2/3 we like to help others. Today, we all wore pink for breast cancer awareness.
In DT we made our own Stone Age bread. We had to think carefully about the ingredients we were using. We used a variety of dried fruits, seeds and herbs. It was so much fun and they tasted delicious. Yum yum!
In Art we have been looking at Stone Age cave paintings. We created some of our own in our sketch books with charcoal. We even got to create our paintings under the tables like we were in a cave. We can’t wait to make our final ones to go up on display in class.
We have been learning all about baptism. We had to think carefully about the importance of the symbols used.
We had our very own baptism in class, it was lots of fun!
Every Friday we have PE with Mr Green. He teaches us all about speed, agility and quickness. He teaches us lots of new skills and helps us keep fit. We have lots of fun!
In Literacy, we have been reading ‘The Stone Age Boy.’
We have been learning all about the 7 continents of the world 🌎
In the beginning God created the heavens and earth. (Genesis 1:1)

Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it. (Proverbs 22:6)
We were set a challenge in History to order events on a timeline. At first it was hard but soon we were able to complete the challenge. We had so much fun and worked well together.
Ecclesiastes 4:9 •
"Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labor." When individuals work together, they can double their strength and get much more done as a team.
