Our Class have enjoyed some time with Forest Schools completing some art. They particularly enjoyed the treat of toasting marshmallows at the end.

Our learning this term
This term, we are learning all about Cold Places. History lessons will focus on 'Who won the race to the South Pole?' We will learn all about Roald Amundsen and Robert Falcon-Scott and their expeditions to reach the South Pole. In Geography, we will learn about hot and cold places in the World and learn the names of the 7 continents and 5 oceans. In music lessons, we will be working on beat, rhythm and pitch. In science, we will be looking at the changes in seasons, living things, habitats and animals suited to different habitats. We will be improving on our cutting and joining skills in Design & technology and learning all about Inukshuk sculptures in art. Our English lessons will mainly be based on the books Lost and Found by Oliver Jeffers and The Storm Whale by Benji Davies. PE lessons will focus on improving balance through games and gymnastics, and then dance in the second half term. We use White Rose Maths and will be learning about place value, addition and subtraction and money this term. In PSHE and SRE, we will be learning all about how to keep ourselves clean and healthy and how to be a good friend. Our RE topics for this term are:

We have learned about God's creations and written thank you prayers. We have also talked about how to look after our World and we have been outside picking up litter to make our school grounds clean and tidy.
We are learning about the change in seasons and have been looking for signs of Autumn.
National Fitness Day!
Wednesday 22nd September was National Fitness Day. We learned all about why we need to keep fit and had fun exercising!
We have been enjoying reading and sharing books in our reading area.
