Class 4 - Castle - Mr Bullock & Mrs Rigby

PE
This half-term, PE will be on Wednesdays and Thursdays, so please come to school in PE kit on these days. PE kit should be a navy t-shirt and black or navy joggers/pants. A lighter blue or white t-shirt will be acceptable.
Year 5 will be swimming each week on a Thursday afternoon this half term also, finishing on 11th December.
Reading
Our expectation for reading is to read at least 3 times per week and each one recorded in reading diaries. Diaries will be checked twice a week on a Tuesday and Friday. However, reading books and diaries should be brought to school every day.
Homework
Homework will be set every Friday and expected to be completed by the following Wednesday. This will consist of a Maths activity (TT Rockstars or other), an English activity (writing/spag/reading), and a Spelling activity (Spelling Shed or other). The activities set each week are detailed below.
Homework due Wednesday 19th November
Maths: Complete ‘Equivalent fractions’ on SeeSaw.
English: Complete ‘Causal conjunctions’ on SeeSaw.
Spelling: Complete the spelling activity ‘Vowel Colouring’ provided on paper for our ‘Adjectives ending in –ent into nouns ending in –ence/-etion’ pattern. The words we are practising are: innocent, decent, frequent, confident, different, innocence, decency, frequency, confidence, difference.

Maths: Complete ‘Multiplying and Dividing by 10, 100, 1000’ on SeeSaw.
English: Complete ‘Subject and Object in sentences’ on SeeSaw.
Spelling: Complete the spelling activity ‘Scrabble Spellings’ provided on paper for our ‘turning adjectives ending –ant into nouns ending –ance/-ation/-ancy’ pattern. The words we are practising are: observant, expectant, hesitant, tolerant, assistant, observation, expectation, hesitation, tolerance, assistance.
