Class 4 - Castle - Mr Bullock & Mrs Rigby

Welcome to our class page. Our teachers are Mr Bullock and Mrs Rigby, and our teaching assistant is Mrs Carney.

This half-term, PE will be on Wednesdays and Thursdays, so please come to school in PE kit on these days. PE kit should be a navy t-shirt and black or navy joggers/pants. A lighter blue or white t-shirt will be acceptable.

Reading

Our expectation for reading is to read at least 3 times per week and each one recorded in reading diaries. Diaries will be checked twice a week on a Tuesday and Friday. However, reading books and diaries should be brought to school every day.

Homework

Homework will be set every Friday and expected to be completed by the following Wednesday. This will consist of a Maths activity (TT Rockstars or other), an English activity (writing/spag/reading), and a Spelling activity (Spelling Shed or other). The activities set each week are detailed below.

Year 6
Complete ‘Set B Test 2’ for Reading (pg25-27), ‘Set B Test 3’ for Maths (pg26-28), and ‘Set B Test 4’ for GPS (pg33-36).

Year 5
Maths: Complete ‘[Y5] Angles 3’ on MyMaths.

English: Complete ‘Speech Punctuation’ on SeeSaw.

Spelling: Complete the spelling activity ‘Smartphone Spellings’ provided on paper for our ‘Words ending -ant’ pattern. The words we are practising are: relevant, restaurant, consonant, giant, elephant, plant, infant, instant, vibrant, dormant.

Year 5
Maths: Complete ‘[Y5] Percentages of amounts 1’ on MyMaths.

English: Complete ‘Adverbs of possibility’ on SeeSaw.

Spelling: Complete the spelling activity ‘Vowel Colouring’ provided on paper for our ‘Words beginning -occ’ pattern. The words we are practising are: occur, occupy, occupier, occupant, occupancy, occupation, occasion, occasional, occasionally.
