Catholic Social Teaching at St Edward’s

Catholic Social Teaching is our moral compass at St Edward’s, guiding us in how to live out our faith in the world. Our faith calls us to love God and to love our neighbours in every situation, especially our sisters and brothers living in poverty. Following in the footsteps of Christ, we aim to bring God’s justice, love, and peace into our world, even when it is unjust and broken.

There are nine key principles of Catholic Social Teaching. At St Edward’s, we will explore all nine throughout the year to deepen our children’s understanding of how to live their faith in action. Each principle is linked to an animal to help the children connect with and remember the values.
