Welcome to Reception/Year 1!

We would like to welcome our new reception children to our St Edwards school family. In Reception/Year 1 class, Mrs Rigby and Mrs Smith want to help you learn lots of new things as well as have lots of fun!

Could we please remind all our parents to ensure all their child's uniform has their name in it, and that they have their P.E. Kits in school. P.E. Kits will be sent home at the end of each half term.

Like ourselves, we are sure you will understand the importance of reading. Your child will have 2 reading books sent home every Friday to be changed the following Thursday. Please read with your child, each night if possible, and sign their reading diary. Reception children will have a Home Phonics pack which will also be updated on Thursdays. Please use this pack as much as possible to help with your child's developing reading skills. When homework is sent out, it will be sent on Mondays to be returned on Thursdays, or over the school holidays.
